Operation and troubleshooting
Plan startup recovery, updates and checks for unattended screens.
Startup and recovery
autorun starts the application after boot; restore reopens content at application startup. They are separate settings. After configuration, restart the target device and verify the physical display, audio and reconnection. Cached media may remain available offline; new cloud commands and online data still need a connection.
Updates and platform support
Windows supports complete-package OTA updates with download, verification, replacement and restart. Android does not execute that OTA flow; update using the delivered Android package. Do not infer macOS or iOS availability from protocol fields shared across platforms.
Diagnose from the screen outward
- No picture: confirm display mode, a visible open region, valid coordinates and a reachable URL. A device in remote-control mode rejects display commands.
- No speech: check the engine, voice installation, device audio output, volume and queue. A command acknowledgement does not mean the message has finished playing.
- No connection: verify workspace ownership, network reachability, the actual LAN port and control code. For content failures, check the URL and HTTP status before changing the layout.
- For support, include the device ID, client version, affected region, time, message ID and relevant logs. Remove credentials, cookies and private content from shared logs.
